London Riverside
London Riverside is the largest development opportunity in the London Gateway. Its area extends 6 square kilometres on the bank of the Thames across the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Havering and Thurrock.
The vision is for London Riverside to be a new urban centre with a mixed use, high density environment accommodating high tech industry, leading edge businesses and residential communities in sustainable housing. There will also be a new leisure and community facilities, all of which will be designed around new and existing public transport. By 2016, London Riverside will accommodate 20,000 new homes and jobs for an extra 25,000 people.
